How to use container twist locks correctly

A container is a container used to transport bulk goods. The value of the loaded goods is relatively high. During the transportation process, a fixed operation is required to ensure that the goods will not be damaged.

There are many ways to fix containers. You can fix the containers on the ground, place them horizontally, or stack them vertically. Different fixing methods will use different types of twist locks. GLS provides a variety of container twist locks to meet more security requirements.

In order to ensure the safety and stability of the container, it is necessary to ensure the correct use of the container twist lock.

When the container is hoisted onto the vehicle loading surface, make the corner hole at the bottom of the container just fall to the position where the twist lock is installed, and then rotate the handle of the twist lock, the lock head will be fixed at a prescribed corner position (usually 90 degrees or 70 degrees), leave the twist lock in a locked state.

If it is a lift type twist lock, you need to push the handle longitudinally, lift the lock head, extend into the inner position of the bottom corner piece of the container, and then rotate to the specified angle to complete the locking of the container corner.

Some twist locks also have a tightening device. When tightening, the lock can be used to press down on the bottom surface of the inner cavity of the corner piece to prevent the corner of the container from lifting, which can ensure that the container twist lock is more safe and reliable.
