On the afternoon of April 25, the GLS technical team was invited to Daxie Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) of Ningbo to conduct a specialized training session on container lashing safety. Attendees included crew members from COSCO Shipping, Ningbo Ocean Shipping, and several container terminal operators.
The training, titled “Container Lashing Layout and Maintenance of Common Lashing Equipment,” aimed to enhance frontline personnel's awareness of lashing safety and ensure the standardization of container securing procedures onboard and at port. GLS engineers provided a systematic overview of lashing equipment types, standard usage practices, and maintenance essentials. Real-life case studies were used to illustrate potential risks resulting from improper operations.
The session was well received, with enthusiastic engagement from participants. Captain Li from Daxie MSA praised GLS’s technical professionalism and expressed strong interest in continued collaboration on maritime safety.
